ATSU GOES HOME ON MARCH 17.

Ghanaians and football fans will say their final goodbyes to the late Christian Atsu Twasam on Friday, March 17, at the forecourt of the state house.

The announcement was made by the  Twasam family during his one week observation, which was held at the Adjiringanor Astro Turf in Accra.

The 31-year-old Ghanaian international footballer was found dead under the rubble in his home in southern Turkey following the devastating earthquake on Monday, February 6, 2023.

His mortal remains were returned to Accra, Ghana on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

Atsu was a celebrated footballer who played for the Ghana national team and  other top European clubs such as Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle United, Fc Porto among others.

The Government of Ghana and the Sports Ministry has promised to bear the entire cost of the funeral.

As the nation prepares to pay its last respects to Atsu, football enthusiasts and Ghanaians at large will remember him for his immense contribution to football on and off the pitch.
